AGE WITH GRACE

WHAT MATTERS
5/27/2016
Dr. C. Branker
Every time we celebrate a birthday, it is a blessing and not an embarrassment because we are getting older.
If you are chosen to celebrate another birthday, count it a blessing.
Manny people were not fortunate as you. Some endured great sufferings and pain, they struggled with medicine and needles, sleepless nights and discomfort before their last breath. They did not make it to your age.
You were chosen to live longer and enjoy birthdays, to gracefully age with thanksgiving and praise to your maker
LIVE, love and forgive others along your journey.

SUPER CREATOR

WHAT MATTERS
5/26/2016
Dr. C. Branker.
Humans are body, soul, and spirit, created to perform and do any task that's imaginable.
Whether it is defying gravity or landing on another planet, working and coordinating with imagination accomplishes the task.
We invent tools and equipment to do and build things that has not being built before.
We use the new inventions, then modify them to better and smarter replacements.
There are so many more new inventions taking place right now; some are being built and others are still on the drawing board.
We were created by a Super Creator, who made us in His image and likeness.
He made the world, and we create things to live in it  for our benefits.
Thanks Be To Our Heavenly Creator.

GIVE GOD PRAISE

WHAT MATTERS
5/25/2015
Dr. C. Branker
One of the things we should never forget in life, is the merciful kindness of our God.
We some how look for physical rewards and blessings from Him, not realizing that each day we awake, we are already recipients of His mercy and loving kindness.
He goes before us and sets our path. We must trust Him in all things, even though some are difficult to understand.
His ways and doings are far superior to ours, for He sees the whole picture of our path.
His truth endures forever and His mind is set toward us for good and not evil.
Praise God in every thing and seek His counsel in all matters. Psalm 117.

GOD OF PROMISES

WHAT MATTERS
5/24/2016
Dr. C. Branker
We have made promises that we did not keep or just failed to fulfill.
As long as we live, we will make promises to ourselves and others. The challenge is, making it happen at the appointed time.
In the scriptures, God made a promise and covenant to Noah, that he will not destroy the earth again with a flood.
His promise sign was the RAINBOW in the rain cloud.
There have been floods all over the world since then, but a rainbow appears in the cloud and the rain stops.
WHAT A PROMISE KEEPER, HE LIVES AMONGST US TO FULFILL HIS WORD!
1 Peter 1:4, " He has given to us, exceedingly great and precious promises "......
TRUST HIM TODAY, HE NEVER FAILS!

HE CREATES THE BOW

WHAT MATTERS
5/23/2016
Dr. C. Branker
The RAINBOW, is described by the dictionary as a  meteorological phenomenon that is caused by  reflection, refraction and dispersion of light in water droplets resulting in a spectrum of  light appearing in the sky.
It takes the form of a multicoloured arc.
Rainbows caused by sunlight always appear in the section of sky directly opposite the sun.
And God said, " The rainbow shall be in the cloud, and  I will look on it to remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature which of all flesh that is on the earth" Gen: 9-13-17.
Everyday, there is a rainbow somewhere on the plant. That means, everyday God is looking at the rain cloud to keep His Covenant and promise.

LIFESTYLE OF FORGIVENESS

WHAT MATTERS
5/20/2016
Dr. C. Branker
Forgiveness is a lifestyle quality which lives in the heart.
It is not something we say to others, when they need our forgiveness.
Forgiveness is not words coming from our lips, but treasures proceeding from the heart.
Every human being needs forgiveness from others, and from God throughout their lifetime.
Embrace this treasure now, do not wait till you need to use it; cherish it now and live a peaceful and joyful life.
Matthew 18:21-35.

DOG FORGIVENESS

WHAT MATTERS
5/19/2016
Dr. C. Branker
Have you noticed dogs in an animal shelter are always excited to meet new people?
You walk up to the cage, and they will come with wagging tails , happy and ready for you to reach out your hand for a pet and a lick in return.
Your heart melts to hear that your new friend  was rescued from an abusive owner and was about to die from inflicted wounds or starvation.
The dog has already forgotten its past, forgave its owner, and now accepting and bonding with total strangers.
If a dog can forgive and forget another human being ill-treatment, show and receive affection again, then humans can learn a valuable lesson from a dog.

FORGIVE

WHAT MATTERS
5/18/2016
Dr. C. Branker
IT is a good feeling having a new spare tire with you at all times; the same size as the four on your car.
YOU'RE READY TO MOVE ON, IF YOU GET SET BACK BY A FLAT.
New cars today, come with a "donut" for a spare, but older cars had the real thing hidden away.
A donut is a temporary little tire design to replace your original when you get a flat.
IT IS NOT A PERMANENT FIX, YOU CANNOT GO TOO FAR NOR FAST.
A True forgiving  spirit is the same. Always be ready to forgive and continue your journey in life.
People will take the air out of you at times, but be ready to forgive.
NEVER LIVE A DAY WITHOUT A GOOD SPARE. (FORGIVENESS)
Psalms 86:5

LET LOVE BE HOST

WHAT MATTERS
5/17/2016
Dr. C. Branker
Unforgiveness is like a bacteria that doesn't want to die.
It is a living evil spirit.
The moment it enters a body, it becomes host.
A host cell is a living cell in which a virus reproduces. It will continue to live and do maximum damage giving life to parasites, unless destroyed
UnForgiveness does not need to be treated, but destroyed.
It wants to take control over every thought for justifying why it has reason to exist. It does not want to let go the offender nor  the offense.
There is only one cure for letting go of its grip, which is forgiveness.
Forgiveness is another living spirit which FLOWS from a heart of Love with medicine that cures.

FORGIVE

WHAT MATTERS
5/16/2016
Dr. C. Branker
If you cannot detect and treat unforgiveness  in your heart as soon as possible, it becomes the cancer of the soul.
The only remedy is to forgive those who offend you and be whole again.
Why become worst than your offender who committed the act once but you are living with it for a long time.
Be Free From Those Who Offend You Always By Forgiving Quickly.
The justification of unforgiveness, does not equate the wrong doing of the perpetrator.
I heard someone said, "unforgiveness is like drinking poison and waiting for the other person to die".
BE NICE TO YOURSELF ...... ALWAYS FORGIVE.

WIRED FOR GREATNESS

WHAT MATTERS
5/13/2016
Dr. C. Branker
There is, definitely two of you. One you, with two personalities.
You were created to maximize your life and fulfill your purpose, by the things you enjoy and do.
It is however very important that a person knows and understand both giftings.
For me, I love working with my hands in the physical and get pleasure in doing such. On the other hand, my spiritual fulfillment involves humanitarian work on every level.
Teaching, training, coaching, assisting, and giving to the poor and destitute ignites a passion within me that nothing can extinguish.
At any given day, I am driven by either passions and some days both.
You are already wired and design to achieve greatness in all that you do.
Harness your skill and proceed with dignity and good character, avoid other encroaching and destructive passions that may try to attach themselves as barnacles.
You can be a tent-maker and change the world by your life and writings, or a shepherd  and be a prophet or King. A carpenter and savior.
History doesn't lie.

USE YOUR BRAIN

WHAT MATTERS
5/12/2016
Dr. C. Branker.
If someone calls you a bird brain, make sure they are comparing you to the African honey guide bird.
This bird calls in assistance to raid bee hives. Yes; this bird seek  help from badgers or members of the Masai tribe and lead them in the forest chirping to the hive.
This is the only bird that can swallow bee wax.
The bird cannot raid the hive alone, or this would be fatal.
Two boys from the tribe answered the call, one climbed the tree with a stick on smoke
to place over the hive which relaxes the bees. He then reached his hand into the hive and pulled out piece of honeycomb giving it to the bird. If the boys didn't reward the bird first, the bird will find another assistant.
Now the tree is marked by the boys for their return.
PRINCIPLE:- You cannot succeed in life by yourself, find the right helper to accomplish your goals. Don't forget to reward your helper.

OFFER WISELY

WHAT MATTERS
5/11/2016
Dr. C. Branker
What we offer to God must come from a sincere heart.
Praise, worship, offerings and prayers, must come from a heart that highly exalt and know that He is God.
God will not accept a gift nor reward from anyone, because they think that He deserves it. Everything belongs to Him including all flesh.
We are to honor, love and obey Him as our maker and God.
He accepts and rejects praise, worship offerings and prayers if it is offered any other way but the right way.
We must always approach Him as God eternal, the only wise God with dominion and power.
Love Him with all your heart, all your mind and with all your strength.

CHOOSE WISELY

WHAT MATTERS
5/10/2016
Dr. C. Branker.
The inescapable thing in life is making choices.
From a babe in a mother's arm, to the grave, we cannot escape making choices of things pertaining to life.
We were born in a world with good and evil, and we learn quickly that there are consequences that will make our lives better or worse.
Some lessons are learnt quickly, like; don't touch the hot stove or iron, others take longer for results to manifest.
Whatever the path we follow, making right choices will always pay off.
The moral indoctrination of most cultures, set a path for their offspring so that adulthood could be achieved with honor and dignity.
Good and evil is everywhere. In the garden there are fruit trees and poison ivy.
In society it same exist.
Use the process of thinking beyond the present when making choices, especially concerning things that will remain with you for a lifetime.

FORGIVE AND BE FREE

WHAT MATTERS
5/9/2016
Dr. C. Branker
Please forgive me, and I forgive you, are very important words for everyone's vocabulary.
Your language is not mastered until you can use these words.
Freedom is  forgiving those who offend you, removing each page of recorded offense that was committed against you.
A clean slate, removes past mistakes and gives opportunity to start again.
The forgiver is more powerful over the offender and will do more good for them when necessary or in time of need.
Forgiveness is releasing your offender in-spite of what they think of you.
Unforgiveness is a person's form of punishment for what they think you deserve.
Live Free And Happy.

HELP COMES FROM ABOVE

WHAT MATTERS
5/6/2016
Dr. C. Branker.
We were not created to do and accomplish great things by ourselves.
We may have acquired the experience and knowledge about many things, but to feel self- contained and sufficient to be successful is a great deception.
God's goodness is about equipping us all to do His will. He gave gifts to mankind for His glory and purpose.
A couple working together will raise a family and produce children with the best intent and all they can do. Feeding, caring, shelter, clothing, and education until they are grown into young adults.
If you have to do it alone, the work is ten times harder.
There are people around you with the gift and skill to make your task lighter.
Ask the Lord today to lead you to those gifted to assist you.

HAVE A GREAT DAY

WHAT MATTERS
5/5/2016
Dr. C. Branker
On your most difficult day, have you ever realized that many people in the world are experiencing the most beautiful day of their lives?
Most of our problems are connected to our families, friends and people we work with.
Also, some of our problems we created ourselves. At any given day, we could be fixing and repairing situations that we never thought would bring so much trouble and heartache.
The need to expand your horizon is necessary in such a busy lifestyle.
Parks, nature trails, and the zoo are all part of city budgets to create a place of tranquillity for the public, in and around the city.
Our creator has given the best for us to enjoy freely: rivers, waterfalls, forest, beautiful birds of every kind, fruits, flowers, beaches, sunrise and sunset and many other spectacular sights.
Go beyond the malls, convenient stores and shopping centers, you will find life and that more abundantly.
Psalms 118:24. This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

THE SHAKING HAS BEGUN

WHAT MATTERS
6/4/2016
Dr. C. Branker
Seismologist today, can predict where the next earthquake may take place; or so they say.
The study of earthquakes goes back to 585 BCE and 555 BCE., according to the writing of Thales of Miletus, Greek mathematician, philosopher and astronomer.
Aristotle, Greek philosopher and scientist did his own research and wrote about earthquakes in 340 BCE.
In 132 CE, Zhang Heng  of China's  Han dynasty, a polymath and astronomer  designed the first known seismoscope.
Some argued that earthquakes were caused by the movement of fire within a system of channels within the earth. While others believed that earthquakes were caused by chemical explosions within the earth.
When ever I read the scriptures concerning earthquakes, I see it as something God controls and uses for destruction and punishment. He made the earth, and nothing will cause it to split and fall apart unless He is in it.
When there is injustice and robbery of the poor, God shakes that place with an earthquake.
God provides for everyone, but when politicians and governments deprive its own people from basic necessities and expect them to work hard and pay more taxes, He sends earthquakes.
When innocent blood is shed and there is continual backsliding from morality and righteousness  God shakes the earth.
THE SHAKING HAS BEGUN.

TAKE HEED

WHAT MATTERS
5/3/2016
Dr. C. Branker.
God gives us all the chance to chose right from wrong, Cain had the time to think about his anger problem and take heed to God's instruction, yet he continued in his own way. perhaps, speaking with his brother, they both could have offered  kids from the flock as Abel knew this was the right offering that God would accept.
Making the right choices in life is always the best thing anyone can do, and if we find out we made a mistake, the need for change is always before us.
Sometimes we cannot reverse the act and its consequences, but we can always repent if we need to and learn a 'never do again lesson' from it.
Cain had the opportunity to correct his ways after God spoke with him, forgiveness was present, but he didn't take heed.
"Why are you so angry?” the Lord asked Cain. “Why do you look so dejected? You will be accepted if you do what is right. But if you refuse to do what is right, then watch out! Sin is crouching at the door, eager to control you. But you must subdue it and be its master.” Genesis 4:6-7.

BLESSINGS AHEAD

WHAT MATTERS
5/2/2016
Dr. C. Branker
While your memory of the past cast a shadow, your best days could be just ahead.
Who gave us the right to look backwards and remember good old days and put little confidence in a brighter future?
At what age in a person's life, do they reach their highest and greatest fulfillment?
If we believe in divine providence, then with God, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE.
I meet a lot of people in their forties and fifties who have already given up on some of their dreams.
While the body grows older each day, the spirit is renew in those who believe.
There are no old, feeble spirits; spirits are full of energy and will-power.
Recently, an eighteen year old told me that he couldn't run tract as he did when he was  sixteen. At sixteen, he won every race, until someone came along who was faster.
His defeat has prevented his mind from experiencing greater victories on the track and who knows what other area of his life.
New mercies and blessings are ahead.
... Lamentations 3: 22-24." The LORD'S lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, For His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. "The LORD is my portion," says my soul, "Therefore I have hope in Him."…
