Confucius was an influential Chinese philosopher, teacher and political figure known for his popular aphorisms and for his models of social interaction.
His social philosophy was based primarily on the principle of "ren" or " loving others" while exercising self-discipline. He believed that ren could be put into action using the Golden Rule, ' What you do not wish for yourself, do not do to others.
He was born in 551 BC. and was influenced by scriptures.
Confucianism later became the official imperial philosophy of China.
Matthew 7:12, Jesus said, "Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets".
Long before Confucius was born, the law and the prophets existed.
Jesus taught the law and the prophets.
