SPEAK POSITIVELY

WHAT MATTERS
5/19/2015
Dr. C. Branker
If you keep on saying that things are not that good with you,
one day you might be a prophet. It is so important to speak positively about every thing concerning yourself and others. If you don't, you might see the fruit of your words.
Create a mind that thinks of the better and not the present or worse. Today is blessed with many good things for  everyone, look high and give thanks. Do not allow your words to trap and hijack your destiny.
Proverbs 6:2 " Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth.

YOUR WILL

WHAT MATTERS
5/18/2015
Dr. C. Branker.
Part of the human psyche is the "WILL".
The part of the brain that is influenced by other sources that sometimes question free-will.
Whether the people around you, normal daily occurrences, religious influences, a spouse or a deceased parent; the human will determines courses of actions.
Let's face it, we are all beings of interactions. We emulate each other in certain things searching for acceptance and identity.  (Just check social media).
Your acts intentionally committed, lays the foundation for your life. No one can live and choose your path but you. You have the power by your will to self-fulfillment and happiness.
Find your true soul apart from the crowd... Seek divine presence.

THE SENTENCE

WHAT MATTERS
5/15/2015
Dr. C. Branker
The young man confessed to the judge.
" Your honor, I'm  very sorry for what I have done and I deserve to be punished for my actions".
"I'm thinking of 3 to 5 years in jail for permanently injuring this man" said the judge.
The  young  man quickly responded, " your honor I'll take the 3 years". Why? Asked the judge,
He replied, "because I'm not a bad person, and I don't want to spend the next 5 years behind bars, also 5 years in jail will be very harsh punishment".
People who commit offenses, often feel that they don't deserve the necessary punishment.
If you had to pay the penalty for your sins, what will you require of the judge???
Jesus paid the price for your sins on the cross. Your life sentence is ETERNAL LIFE.

HOLD ON TO THE DREAM

WHAT MATTERS
5/14/2015
Dr. C. Branker
Never give up in any difficult situation.
Have you ever had a dream to fulfill or something you wanted to accomplished? You may have seen the finished product in a vision and knew this was for you. Sometimes we give up before we even start and other times we give up just before we are about to make that huge break-through that we have been putting so much effort in to achieve.
Well, there are countless stories where dreams were dashed and others came back from the brink. Some, as marriage to the right person you have been waiting for, or going back to school.
What ever the dream, only you can kill it and put it to rest or fan the thought of reality.
Today could be a positive step towards your goal.  HOLD ON TO IT...

GO FORWARD

WHAT MATTERS
5/13/2015
Dr. C. Branker
Failure is not always a bad thing. Though you're not rewarded for failing, it is part of the process for success.  It is not the size of our  failure or sin, that determines whether or not we recover from a fall. It's our response. How we deal with our failure determines our future.
Thomas Edison, whose most memorable invention was the light bulb, which purportedly took him 1,000 tries before he developed a successful prototype. “How did it feel to fail 1,000 times?” a reporter asked. “I didn’t fail 1,000 times,” Edison responded. “The light bulb was an invention with 1,000 steps.”
Do you feel sometimes you need 1000 tries to get it right?.... Your inabilities to do everything good and right was nailed to a cross over 2000 years ago. Be courageous and move forward. Today is a new day, you are well able to do it.

THE PSYCHE

WHAT MATTERS
5/12/2015
Dr. C. Branker
The  human psyche can display a double standard at times, which can lead to irritability and frustration.
The decision to change some things in one's life, is no question a solid one; to  execute and keep changing is another struggle. For example, many people make New Year's resolutions every year; only to break them a few days after. We live with the dualities of the human psyche.
However difficult that may seem, change is good and mandatory for progress. Whether it is weight loss, changing environment, friends, profession etc; to make the good decision is one thing, but to accomplish it  is to persevere against every obstacle within the very mind that saw the better.  Phil: 4:13  You can do all things by the power of Christ who gives you the strength.
End the struggle, finish the plan.

AIM TO FOCUS

WHAT MATTERS
5/11/2015
Dr. C. Branker
Today is a beautiful day to refocus.
If you're easily distracted, your surroundings and thoughts will always provide innumerable distractions. An individual who cannot stay focus will never accomplish a set goals; as every success requires its discipline in focus.
An archer can never hit two targets with one arrow. If your thoughts stray, you will miss the target every time. Only with concentration of physical and mental power can your arrow hit the target. You have the ability to cast down every other distracting thought for your victory.
GO GET IT.

OVERHAUL

WHAT MATTERS
  5/7/2015
Dr. C. Branker.
Exercising is like overhauling a vehicle.
You remove the sludge and grime that hinders and delay, for new clean parts.
The motor is now called ' REBUILT.'
With high test gasoline and your overhauled motor, you can now drive anywhere you so desire; yes, even across The country.
Self-Control/Discipline, is what it takes to prevent sludge and grime in the human body.
Work on eating the right foods with the right portions. Eat what is proper for your body and not what you like....Starches like Flour, breads, potatoes, plantains, rice are big culprits.
You need to go places and get many things accomplished for God's glory. Don't destroy yourself for refusing to use knowledge.
STAY HEALTHY.
Dr. C. Branker.

Dr. C. Branker.
Today, "WHAT MATTERS" celebrates an anniversary.
One year ago,  I started sending a word of inspiration to a few friends; it has now grown to several people as so many forward it to their friends and families.
From Ghana Africa to Central and S. America, Europe, N. America to Asia,
Ethiopia and the Caribbean people wake up daily and read WHAT MATTERS.
Isaiah 50: 4. " A word in season to him that is weary"
You may also continue to read more on my blog daily. Thank you for sharing.
