TODAY IS A GREAT DAY

WHAT MATTERS
4/30/2015
Dr. C. Branker
Whether you wake up to a bright and sunny morning, a dark and rainy one, or a cold and snowing day; give thanks to God for allowing you to see another day.
Always speak positive about your day when you wake each morning. You can determine what kind of day you're going to have by declaring it.
Remember The Lord has created each day and declared His purpose for it.
We get to experience His marvelous work in sunshine and rain, cold and snow.
He is Lord. Give Him Praise!

JESUS HEALS COMPLETLY

WHAT MATTERS
DR. C. Branker.
Have you ever received a deep wound in your inner being?

Do you know the sorrow, the pain of a wound that refuses to heal?
Does it travel through your memory in endless circles that you can't erase?
Has recalling the serpent-like fangs of that biting wound, become an addiction?

We need not remain captives to the enemy and his painful snake-bite!
Jesus came to:
1. Open prison doors.
2. Set the captives free.
3. Heal the brokenhearted.
4. Deliver those who are bruised and imprisoned.
5. Celebrate the good news (Gospel) of redeeming grace.
Give Jesus His full Glory for your complete healing. The blind man said, " I can see all things clearly" So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. John 8:36.

LAWLESSNESS

WHAT MATTERS
4/28/2015
Dr. C. Branker
Can you imagine living in a society, where people are no longer obeying laws and rules that were put in place to govern.
Imagine people not stopping at Stop Signs, going through Red Lights, skipping lines at the banks, malls and grocery stores.
Imagine people operating a vehicle; texting, tweeting, and sending instant message to friends.
Imagine  children disrespecting their parents, teachers,  police officers and judges.
Well, you may have already seen this happening on TV, or read some article about it.
WAKE UP, IT HAS ONLY BEGUN.
It is a sign Jesus said to look for before His return.
That's Right, LAWLESSNESS. Matthew 24:12.

MILLIONS FEARING MORE DISTRUCTION

WHAT MATTERS
4/27/2015
Dr. C. Branker.
Thousands of people suddenly lost their lives in Nepal on Saturday by a very strong earthquake, which also sent millions into the streets seeking protection from aftershocks, and many more wounded seeking medical attention.
Over 1 million children are in need of aid.
Let us pray for the victims of this tragedy; as fear, pain, homelessness, hunger and grief now set in among the people in this Nation.
Remember, this could have happened in your city. Be thankful for life, and another day.

IT IS FRIDAY

WHAT MATTERS
4/24/2015
Dr. C. Branker
Today is Friday. I recently heard someone said, that they haven't been excited about Friday's since last Friday. I thought that was funny.
Fridays have always represented excitement. It is the last day of the week, to many it's is pay- Day, to others it is time to retreat for the weekend; and to students, it's is most treasured.
Historically for the Jews, Friday is the day before the sabbath.
On Friday In the Bible, the food miraculously provided for the Israelites in the wilderness during their flight from Egypt. This was Spiritual nourishment of divine origin.
Remember God's goodness over your life today. There are many blessings all around you today. Give Him Praise and Honor.

LOVE GOD

WHAT MATTERS
4/23/2015
Dr. C. Branker
Loving God sincerely, is our most important duty in life.
So many people are blessed with many gifts and talents, however if those gifts are not used to fulfill the purpose for which they were given, their labor would all be in vain.
Peter was a very good fisherman, but he was gifted to preached the gospel of Jesus Christ.
He tried returning to the fishing business after Jesus crucifixion, but that didn't work too well.
Jesus met with Peter at the sea with his fresh catch of tilapias..... He asked Peter three times concerning his love and dedication. St. John 21-17.
What Matters in your life today is,..... How much do you love Jesus?

TRUST GOD

WHAT MATTERS
4/22/2015
Dr. C. Branker
Some days, things may seem beyond chaotic in life. I have received calls for help, prayer, and guidance from people who were in dire straits.
Whether loosing a home, experiencing a difficult financial situation or a child in trouble with the law; my time and presence are constantly engaged with others. Sometimes local, national or another country.
What always seems to amaze me, is that there is or were different ways to fix the situation before my time was solicited. People seem to hang on to bad situations until it is beyond anyone's help. Then there is a request for a miracle.
God wants us to trust Him in times of trouble and difficult situations.

GIVE HIM PRAISE

WHAT MATTERS
4/21/2015
Dr. C. Branker
The greatest expression of faith is praising God daily.
God knows that we are not on the mountain top every day receiving blessings; it is so easy to exalt Him then. He sees our reactions to sickness, disappoints, pain, hardships and when others offend us. Praises are not always in our mouths.
It doesn't mean we stop loving Him, but we focus on coming out of our situation before we praise Him.. We ought to praise Him daily and regularly, whether things are good or unfavorable. The psalmist David said he prayed to God three times a day  Ps. 55:17
and praised Him seven times a day. Ps. 119:164.
Join me today as I praise Him all day long.

ESTEEM SOMEONE

WHAT MATTERS
4/20/2015
Dr. C. Branker.
Growing up as a young man, I joined the Boy Scouts, as they always seem to do many things and have lots of fun.
The first thing I learned was to trust each other and always be there for your fellow scout. This is known today as the  " buddy system ". We had to always take the interest of someone else above our own. I soon realized while camping and spending time in the forest, the need for that discipline. As I grew older I found the same principles and instructions in the scriptures.
Phil: 2. 2-3, teaches us to esteem others better than ourselves, and to look out for the interest of others. Thank God my scout master was a born-again Christian.
This is the life of every believer in Christ.

FORMED BY THE MASTER'S HAND

WHAT MATTERS
4/17/2015
Dr. C. Branker
I love studying the Monarch butterfly, as it is the most fascinating insect created.
As a caterpillar, it is a voracious eater—eagerly devouring the milkweed. At first it can eat only the most tender part of the plant. Then as it grows it is able to digest the whole plant.
An alkaloid compound in the milkweed makes the butterfly noxious to birds that try to eat it. Any bird that tries to eat this butterfly becomes very sick, so the birds stay away from the Monarch.
The lesson you learn is that eating the proper food gives you protection.
Like the monarch butterfly, which at first can eat only the most tender part of the milkweed plant, you start out drinking the milk of God’s Word. Then as you mature you are able to digest the meat.
"As newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby,
If indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious". 1 Peter 2:2-3.

BE DILIGENT

WHAT MATTERS
4/16/2015
Dr. C. Branker.
A wise man once said, " Don't look for help in time of need, if you have not helped anyone;
and don't seek for money in time of need, if you have not saved a penny".
Each day is a precious day, with lots of opportunities and blessings.
There are those who value each day, and there are those who waste it.
There are those who are diligent and those who are slack.
Determine your value of this day, whether  it be wasted or add to your future in substance?.
He becomes poor that deals with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent makes rich. Proverbs 10:4

PROMISES

WHAT MATTERS
4/15/2015
Dr. C. Branker
God's promise is His declaration, that He will do what He says:
He gave us many promises in His word. Here is one of my all time favorite.
He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless.
Even youths will become weak and tired,
and young men will fall in exhaustion.
But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.
They will soar high on wings like eagles.
They will run and not grow weary.
They will walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:29-31.
God helps everyone who trust in Him. Turn your eyes upon Him today; you will receive the help He has promised.

SOMETIMES QUIETNESS IS GOLDEN

WHAT MATTERS
4/14/2015
Dr. C. Branker
There are many things in the course of life, we will not understand.
Things obvious to all, and some we will personally experience. The life we live are filled with mysteries, questions, surprises, fears, happiness and sadness. However, we live from day to day looking for brighter and better.
Some significant things may never come with explanations nor answers, but we have to live with them. Some things we share; others we don't and sometimes cannot.
Our journey takes many turns, and faith keeps us looking ahead.
I have learned to keep focus by pondering; from Mary, the mother of Jesus.
"She kept those things and pondered them in her heart." LUKE 2:19.

DETERMINATION

WHAT MATTERS
4/13/2015
Dr. C. Branker.
 In 1997 U.S.A.  Tiger Woods Wins Masters on 13th April 1997 :
Tiger Woods at 21 years old became the youngest ever golfer to win the Masters Tournament . Woods finished at 18-under-par 270, which was the lowest score ever shot during the Masters.
On Sunday 12th April 2015:  21 year old Jordan Spieth of Texas ties the record of Tiger Woods and won his green jacket. Exactly 18 years later.
Determination, courage, and dedication will overcome all fears and doubts, and will equal or beat any record.
Usain Bolt is known as the fastest man in the world. He now breaks his own record previously set. The world is yet to see young people break more records in every discipline.
Encourage,and help a child today.

YOURE SPECIAL

WHAT MATTERS
4/9/2015
Dr. C. Branker
Many people are moving along side you every day. If you don't press and fulfill your purpose; someone else will get there before you and deliver the wrong message.
Many people want to be you, but they were not given your assignment.
You were created to fulfill a need that exist at this time, and no one else has what it takes
To accomplish The Masters Plan.
Today, is a very important day for you. Your thoughts, meditation and words, are strategic for your next step.
Move forward wisely and steadily, knowing that The Lord is your guide,  and He directs your path.

SELF CONFIDENCE

WHAT MATTERS
4/9/2015
Dr. C. Branker
Self- Confidence is the most important attribute for any individual.
So many things in life involve others around you, as you journey from day to day.
Classmates, fellow workers, strangers, costumers, supervisors and bosses.
If you lack self- confidence, you will be overrun by an aggressive workforce and society.
Everyone was born with self- confidence. Somewhere in your early childhood or growing up, your confidence was repeatedly challenge. You never really loose it; it is sitting dormant within your soul. Rise up today, and do what you were created for.
Intimidation is always a challenge, the opponent never carries the crown forever.
 NOW IT IS YOUR TIME.
You are more than a conqueror.

CREATOR

WHAT MATTERS
4/8/2015
Dr. C. Branker
We are all children of God, Creator of heaven and earth.
Wherever we were born on the planet, God knows everything about us.
Without Him, there is no breath in us. We are His offspring.
He knows our joys, pain, and sorrows. If we seek Him, we will find Him.
If we call on Him, He will answer. If we serve Him, we please Him.
He is sensitive to our cares and infirmities. He knows the path we take and He is always by our side. He also knows today is Wednesday, April 8, 2015.
Today, take time to acknowledge His presence, He is closer than you think!

END TIME SIGNS

WHAT MATTERS
4/7/2015
Dr. C. Branker
The two major  End- times signs are  " lawlessness and False Prophets".
We are living today in a society that has become more lawless and self-willed than any other time than I could remember.
Children don't want to obey parents, and parents don't want to obey authorities.
People are seeking every method to avoid being good lawful citizens.
Disobedience to Law and Order will only lead to anarchy, which will lead to embracing the next
movement perpetrated by Lies ( False Prophets) through the Internet...
Jesus said " I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life." John 14:6.

RESURRECTION

WHAT MATTERS
4/6/2015
Dr. C. Branker
After the resurrection, Jesus presented himself to His disciples in many ways, convincing them that He is alive. He continued to speak with them about the Kingdom of God and the Holy Spirit who would come upon them in a few days.
After Forty days with them, He ascended into a cloud and disappeared.
Imagine the confidence and assurance that came upon those disciples, after what they had to go through a few weeks before with the crucifixion.
He made sure they were ready for their mission to preach the gospel in all the world.
The Lord prepares us today for every mission which involves His will and purpose for our lives.
We are never called nor sent and left alone. Be faithful and strong, for He is near to help.

SING A SONG OF PRAISE

WHAT MATTERS
4/3/2015
Dr. C. Branker
Jesus ended His ministry on earth with a meal, known as the last supper; and a hymn which they all sang as they went out to the Mount of Olives.
Following a Jewish custom during Passover,  usually ending with singing psalms 113-115.
Knowing  that He was going to die as the eternal sacrifice for mankind,
He sang a hymn, then went to the garden to pray.
In our times of great difficulty,  as believers; we can also sing the praises of God knowing He loves and cares for us.
Today, as we remember His sacrifice, let us sing Psalms of Praise to God. Psalms 116-118.
Dr. C. Branker.

HE IS ALL SUFFICIENT

WHAT MATTERS
4/2/2015
Dr. C. Branker
His desire for more blinded his eyes from what he had.
He was chosen as one of the privileged twelve as a disciple, to serve the Master on His mission to redeem Israel. As treasurer, he was always concerned about what was in the money bag and how the funds were being spent.
On day, he was offered the largest donation.  30 pieces of silver. Not for the mission, but as a personal bribe from the authorities to sell out Jesus. HE LOST EVERYTHING!!!
In this life, nothing is more precious than a personal walk with Jesus Christ, which Judas had, but he lusted for more. Happiness is walking daily with Jesus.
Dr. C. Branker.
